CQMU international students participated in CSC activity “Perception of China — Intelligent Manufacturing in Chongqing”

The 100th anniversary oftheCPCisapproaching andin order to further educate CQMU international students with Chinese national conditionals and to promote their understanding of China’s social and economic development and their familiarity with Chongqing, 11 CQMU CSC students from more than 10 countries including Nepal, Bangladesh, Zimbabwe and Madagascar were organized to participate in the activity “Perception of China — Intelligent Manufacturing in Chongqing”, which is sponsored by CSC, organized by Chongqing University and co-organized by CQMU.

On the morning of Oct 22, the international students came to Lijia Smart Park in Liangjiang New Area,They visited the Smart Life Museum, Smart Work Museum and Smart Art Museum, and experienced AI, AR, holographic naked-eye 3D and other multimedia interactive technologies. The visit gave them a first-hand experience of the smart life of future cities and the great changes science and technology bring to human lives. In the afternoon, students visited Chongqing Haifu Medical Technology Co., Ltd. There, students learned about the design concept and use method of Haifu Knife, and experienced the process of ultrasonic treatment. The studentswere very interested in Haifu technology and thought that Haifu Dao was an invention that really benefits mankind. Ismail, an international student from Niger, heard from the interpreter that Haifu Knife had been exported to Argentina and other countries. He hoped that Haifu Knife could be also exported to his motherland to promote the development of Niger's medical and health industry.

On the morning of Oct 23, the international students walked into Qinglong Village, Dasheng Town, Yubei District, a model of digital intelligent rural revitalization. They learned about the development of China's new countryside, visited the newly built Dongchuan style houses and high standard modern orchards. Oli Manoj, a Nepalese clinical medicine student sighed: "Qinglong Village makes me feel the rural life in China, which has turned from old to new, from poor to rich, and gives me a new understanding of Chinese rural areas and China's development". After visiting Qinglong Village, the students visited Chongqing Industrial Museum. Chongqing Industrial Museum is built with some industrial relics of Chongqing Iron and Steel Company and displays the major events in the history of Chongqing's industrial development. The treasure of the museum—“Power of 100 Years” attracted attention of many international students. Many students said that the development of Chongqing's industry for more than 120 years was not easy, which not only played a huge role in the Anti-Japanese War, but also made great contributions to China's industrialization process.

On the afternoon of Oct 23, the two-day activity “Perception of China—Intelligent Manufacturing in Chongqing” ended successfully. After the activity, the students shared their experience. They expressed their heartfelt thanks to the teachers of CSC, Chongqing University, Chongqing Jiaotong University and CQMU for organizing such colorful activities. They said that this activity not only broadened their vision and let them feel the rapid development since China's reform and opening up, but also let them experience the Chinese tradition and charming culture.

Mohammad Arman Hossain, an international student from Bangladesh, said that he was very grateful to the Chinese government for funding them to study in China.He also said that China is a friendly, beautiful and generous country, and he would continue to study hard here and strive to contribute to the people-to-people and cultural exchanges and cooperation between China and Bangladesh.
